July 7, 7:30PM Governor Martin O’Malley will serve as the Narrator for Aaron Copland’s “Lincoln Portrait” that will be performed during the Maryland Symphony Orchestra’s annual free “Salute to Independence” concert at Antietam National Battlefield in Sharpsburg, MD. The War of 1812 theme will honor the bicentennial of America's second war of independence, an important turning point in Maryland's history. Donation Drive For Ark of Hope |

The Donation Drive is to Benefit the Ark of Hope Animal Shelter that suffered damage and loss due to a recent storm that Passed through Our area. We are asking everyone to please try and stop by and help anyway you can. The drive will be held in the Tractor Supply Parking lot in LaVale,Md From 10:00am to 4:00pm Saturday July 7th And Sunday July 8th. Some of the items the shelter needs includes: Dry cat and dog food, puppy and kitten food, scoopable cat litter, HE laundry soap, bleach, blankets and towels, and any monetary donation are greatly appreciated. They would benefit a cat at the shelter that is going in for eye surgery and antibotics for the sick kittens and puppies!
