Disabled Hunting Lottery |
|
Rocky Gap State Park is accepting applications for the annual disabled hunting lottery.
Nine sites for the three Saturdays of firearms season will be drawn via a lottery of applicants at the campground registration station on November 19, at 5 p.m. Weekday sites are available for all disabled hunters on a first-come, first-serve basis.
All applications must be received by mail no later than November 9, at 4 p.m.

Collections for New York |

New Venture Christian Church will be accepting donations at the LaVale Walmart from 3-7pm on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, November 7-9 for the relief effort in New York for the victims of Hurricane Sandy.
Items needed for the relief project are cleaning supplies, bleach, dust masks, mops, buckets, dust pans, flashlights and batteries, generators, shovels, big heavy duty garbage bags, push brooms, crow bars, socks, underwear, work boots and gloves.
Cash donations are also being accepted if someone is unable to supply a particular item. A team from the church will be purchasing necessary items to complete the trailer load.
The first trailer of items was delivered to Staten Island, NY on Sunday, November 4th. |
