Recycle Your Bikes for a Good Cause!
Bikes for the World will collect bicycles, bike parts and portable sewing machines on Saturday, May 25th at Canal Place, from 10:00am to 12:00 noon. The bicycles are shipped overseas to developing countries where having a bike can provide transportation to a job or healthcare.
Bikes being donated can be old and well-used, but should be repairable. A donation of $10 helps offset the cost of shipping.
Arrangements can be made to pick up bikes the week of the event if donors are not available for the May event. Please contact Sue Moessinger at 301-268-9796 or Kate Kidwell at 301-318-8517.
