KIP MOORE: Gives An Adopted Child Hope for a Biological Family

Kip Moore took “Hey Pretty Girl” all the way to number-one on the Mediabase chart in July 2013, and the track continues to melts hearts to this day. The song made Binkies and Briefcases blogger Stephanie Giese a new forever fan following an emotional incident with her adopted six-year-old son.   In an open letter to Kip, Stephanie writes about her son’s struggles over wanting to be with his biological family. She writes, “He wants his ‘real’ mommy back, even though he never really knew her.”  But that all changed when “Hey Pretty Girl” came on the minivan radio. Looking in the rearview mirror, Stephanie saw her son in tears over the song. He said, “It makes my heart feel something, but I’m not sad. One day will I be married like the song man? And then I’ll really be in a family? My own family?”

Stephanie now credits Kip for giving her son hope that he will have a biological family of his own one day.  Kip is headlining CMT On Tour with Sam Hunt and Charlie Worsham. They perform tonight at Billy Bob’s Texas in Fort Worth.

TRISHA YEARWOOD: Shares Her Best Decisions

There’s no telling how many executive decisions were made throughout Trisha Yearwood’s career. But the best decision she’s ever made has to be letting go of others’ opinions.  Trisha Yearwood says life got right when she decided to think for herself.  “The best decision I ever made was that point where I stopped worrying so much about what everybody else thought about what I should do. Because as a Southern girl, you want everybody to be happy … and that has been true of music, choices, songs, producers, definitely true of marrying the love of my life.”

Trisha’s new album PrizeFighter hits stores on November 17th.
